Angad Got Recommended from 20 SSB Bhopal in 7th Attempt

0

Hello friends I am Angad Singh from Haryana and I gotrecommended from 20 SSB Bhopal on 7 April 2013 for 10+2 TES Course-29 and it was my 7th attempt! I would first like to tell you about my previous attempts . I was 5 times conference out and 1 time i was screened out! And I have been to Bhopal twice before coming to this ssb. Bhopal was quite a familiar place for me .
In this attempt my main focus on BEING NATURAL and SIMPLE.now i am sharing my 5 day experience at the board.

SSB Screening

I reported on 2 April at the SSB and round 170 candidates were there !and i was the biggest repeater there!and after the documentation i was allotted chest no 155!Next day non verbal and verbal tests were conducted and i attempted all of them and the next task was PPDT! We were shown a picture of a man holding AK -47 and I made the story around terrorist infiltration! During the group discussion i spoke 4-5 times and added points to the group story and appreciated others for their stories! after screening total of 50 were screened in and my chest no was 45.

SSB Psychological Tests

Next day Psych tests were there! In TAT we were shown quite pressure situations and i wrote simple yet different stories which i have never written ( I even killed persons in my 2 stories)! WAT was good and wrote around 58 sentences ! SRT were normal i attempted around 43 ! This time i attempted the least SRT! SD was good as i have practiced it before and wrote my positive and negative points ! I gave a true representation of myself in the SD.

GTO Tests

GTO tasks were next on schedule !before gto i had one thing in my mind that i have to enjoy the GTO process , earlier I used to have stress before the gto tasks but this time it was chill and cool as MSD. so it started with GD and to my surprise I just spoke 2 times in both the gd”s. i am a good speaker and i used to dominate the gd but this time I didn’t!anyways same was my procedure in GPE. I wrote a very practical plan and in gd I gave 2 very practical solutions. Next was PGT and i think that was the best ever PGTin my all attempts! I gave the ideas and implemented the ideas, leaded from the front . HGT was also good . Lecturette was just awesome and i spoke for the whole 3 mins !CT was the real test1  was called first and the GTO Sir had a brief interview with me fr 15 mins regarding my previous attempts. he gave me a tough CT and made it more difficult by reducing the resources! In individual obstacles i completed 9 out of 10 and i did a mistake i repeated 1 more obstacle and I was asked by GTO sir that how many i did and i told him  the truth that i repeated without completing 10. FGT was normal
Angad Got Recommended from 20 SSB Bhopal in 7th Attempt

SSB Personal Interviews

My Interview was taken by Additional IO . he was from the the Guards regiment. interview was smooth. this was the first time i was satisfied with my interview ! i gave the answers of all the questions he asked and was not impatient in answering! I was asked only 1 rapid fire in which all the questions were asked and apart frm that GK and technical questions were put in front of me ! i gave all the answers of tech ques bt was not able to ask few GK questions ! he abused and pressurized me on questions about girlfriend, sex life and previous attempts, but i kept on smiling (I don’t know why i was smiling) . On an average i was totally satisfied with my performance.
Angad Got Recommended from 20 SSB Bhopal in 7th Attempt

SSB Conference

Before conference i made sure that I know all the answers of the questions which I didn’t answered in the interview. I had to wait 15 minutes before entering the conference hall. this time i was not nervous but i was surprised that what took so long !As I entered the hall I found that all the officers were in a very serious mood but I was smiling and kept the same smile throughout . I was asked Why do you want to join Army, what will you do if you are not selected ! I gave the same answers which I gave in the interview and walked out of the conference hall confidently. Total of 5 were selected out of 50. It had subtle feeling at time! During medicals I was given temporary rejection for DNS and overweight. I was overweight by 12 kgs, but now I have reduced my weight and got my nose operated .I got 37 merit and I am joining OTA on 6 July!
One Thing which i want to say is that waqt se pehle aur kismat se jayada na kisi ko mila hai and na kisi ko milega ! so always practice hard . never loose hope . if you have IT in you , you will find yourself in the armed forces of INDIA
