Indian Air Force has published AFCAT 02/2013 Notificationtoday. AFCAT 02/2013 notification invites applications from young men and women to join flying, technical and GDOC brach on Indian Army as an officer. This course is commencing in July 2014 at Air Force Academy, Dundigal.
AFCAT 02/2013 Notification For Men
AFCAT 02/2013 Eligibility:
- Age: 19 to 23 years as on 01 July 2014 i.e. Born between 02 Jul 1991 to 01 Jul 1995 (both dates inclusive). (Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA(India) is relaxable up to 25 years i.e. born between 02 July 1989 to 01 July 1995 (Both dates inclusive).
- Education Qualification: Graduates (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognised University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
- Candidates who have failed the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) in an earlier attempt OR a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible to apply
- Age: 18 to 28 years as on 01 July 2014 i.e. born between 02 Jan 1986 to 01 July 1996 (both dates inclusive).
- Education Qualification:
- Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}. Candidates applying for AE (L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies.
- Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}. Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies.
- Age: Graduate (20-23yrs) , PG(20-25yrs), LLB(20-26 yrs), MEd/PhD/CA/ICWA(20-27yrs)
- Education Qualification: Any Graduate, PG, LLB, M Ed/PhD/CA/ICWA respectively.

AFCAT 02/2013 Importance Notification
- Candidates appearing in final year/semester examinations may apply for all courses commencing in July 2014 provided they fulfil the following conditions.
- Candidates should not have any present backlog and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together upto the last semester / year for which results have been declared at the time of online submission.
- Candidates should be able to provide provisional / original degree certificate issued by University latest by 15 June 2014.
