Uncertainties To Overcome Before Going To SSB

SSB has always been a different experience for everyone. I have heard people saying that it’s once a lifetime experience and I definitely believe that too. It’s such an exam where you have to be yourself only, no preparation, no cramming of heavy books, nothing. Just the personality assessment before going and you could be the hero of war with a chest number having a plus (+) sign on the chest. Yes that’s what everyone dreams for. Here let’s try to understand the complexity involved in assessment. It not a normal assessment as other organisations has during the placement season or the off campus drives. These things at SSB are scientifically driven. So each aspirant need to understand the basic concepts that are involved behind doing the things, they need to understand the expectations of the assessors and once this is done then the way to success is easy.

There is certain level of anxiety that is present in the minds of aspirants that needs to be cleared as I receive multiple queries on the same. Just try to follow the following:

Psychology is really very important as you cannot even think of moulding the things here and if tried you will be caught immediately. The best way is to self-introspect and then go to SSB, as that will help you to know ourselves much better; the humans have the problem of not knowing themselves and tendency to judge more about others. This life is really short to do that.
Spend quality time on yourself introspecting for the OLQ’s present and missing in you. Once this is done you need sufficient time to get what you don’t have and develop the strength for what you have. This recognition and introspection helps in preparing for the PI also as PI is nothing but revisiting the whole life with the help of officer.
If you are going to SSB for funs then don’t attach expectations with-it. LUCK BY CHANE does not work at such places. You will be surprised to know that everyone of us have the OLQ’s, only the degree differ. I usually administer many tools to know what a person has and what not during my personal mentorship program for aspirants. Once it is known the aspirant is left for developing and inculcating the things within himself and they really need to work hard it.
You are the best manager for your personality and experts in this field can only facilitate your way to improve, and cannot change your personality unless and until you really feel the need of it. So start working and taking care of yourself.
