Attention! All our Engineering graduates who have applied for technical entries in Air Force through AFCAT this time need to appear for EKT Engineering Knowledge Test immediately after the AFCAT written test. This EKT will be of 30 minutes duration and will consist of 50 objective type questions from the basic of engineering.
Here are the few tips for EKT which will help our aspirants:
- EKT is not a very difficult test; all it requires is thorough understanding of basics. So brush up and revise your basics nicely. Do not leave any portion untouched.
- Speed is important in EKT so don’t get struck on any particular question for long.
- The syllabus of EKT is a little lengthy and it’ll require consistent preparation so start preparing from now onwards and do as much as you can.
- Do topic wise studies, i.e. decide and plan out that which portions you have to cover in a day. Stick to your plan and do complete the portion you have set for that day. In this way you’ll be able to cover maximum of the topics.
- Revise the parts you did for the previous day.
- Do see the previous year’s papers and other model papers to get an idea on the types of questions. This will also help you to practice the maximum of them.
- Write down all the formulas you’ll need on a separate sheet, sometimes the questions are simple which require the direct application of formulas, so if you have formulas with you separately you can revise them anytime and that will leave out any chances of missing anything.
- There are no such particular books in market but you can follow the books from your semesters according to the EKT syllabus for preparing. Also you can follow any competitive book which you study to prepare for Engineering professional exams like exams of BHEL.
