Preparations: There are lots of things related to SSB, which a fresher must know before going there. Since you are going there for the first time, you must not be having any idea about anything. It’s better not to go unprepared since preparations are essential because they can only get you recommended, and at the end of the day being recommended is something you are going there for. SO have a look at the following points which will help you.
  • First of all you need to know the complete SSB procedure, what all things are done there, what all exercise are done etc.

Myths and Beliefs: Being a fresher makes you curious enough and you talk with lots of people about SSB, the opinions coming from different people are different, while some of the information you gather is correct rest others are totally a myth. You must try to avoid myths related to SSB and concentrate on your preparation, for this one simple tip is to read or pay heed to only reliable information’s, which are coming from genuine sources. Some of the common myths and beliefs are:
  • Freshers have more chances of recommendations, this is not true, anybody having the qualities which they want (OLQ’s) can be recommended.
  • One funny thing I have heard from many people is that they start judging you at point you get down at the station. Ha ha, funny, the judgment there is based on the tasks which are given not on anything else; this doesn’t means you can behave like a hooligan when you are not into any task. You have to maintain certain degree of mannerism, which any civilized person will do.
  • Freshers are scared about getting mixed up with their group mates, often they wonder what kind of people they’ll meet and all. Don’t worry everybody in your group will be like you, SSB’s give a fair chance to everybody by placing them in the group of like people, like freshers will be placed in a group of freshers and repeaters into repeaters.
  • The biggest myth is about coaching. Well you can join it if you feel like; otherwise there is no harm in not joining. But truly as in my opinion coaching do help, but only the right one’s it’s like the coaching of JEE and Medical, there are lots of them but only the right ones are good. Coaching just give you a direction, rest depends on you, if you don’t have the qualities coaching can’t cultivate them.

Instead of believing on anything you hear you must keep your senses running and believe only on the reliable things. Following a good blog on SSB will really help you.

Confidence level: As soon as a fresher gets to know that he/she has been shortlisted for SSB, they feel that they can do it, they have it in them. This is a positive confidence, you can do it. When you start knowing about various things slowly you confidence starts getting down, don’t let it happen, be confident no matter what you hear no matter what anybody says. You might wonder sometimes what my selection percentage is when only few are getting selected, you don’t have to worry about it, if you have it you’ll get through, if you don’t arrey yaar bohot chances milte hain, jana hai toh jayenge hi fauj mein, koi rok nahi sakta. So keep the fire on. Freshers are full of confidence, they can do wonders if they keep this confidence alive and not let it affect adversely. Keep practicing and reading about the tasks, improve your GK and get to know yourself fully, There are lots of sources which can help you, internet is one such source, utilize it fully. Lots of practice thing is available on SSBCrack itself.

Bottom-line: There is only one bottom line, be confident, tension free and enjoy, you’ll make such friends who will last for a lifetime, you’ll make such memories which will always be precious for you, these few days will be the best of your life, live them fully. So Good luck and rock there.
