How to Apply:
Candidates applying Online, after submission of application take two copies of the application printout and the Roll No. generated by the system. One copy should be mailed duly signed with a self attested photograph and attested copies of 10th class, 12th class certificates and Degree/ Provisional Degree of BE/ B.Tech or mark sheets of first six semesters of BE/ B.Tech to Additional Directorate General of Recruiting (Rtg-6), TGC Section, West Block-3, R.K Puram, New Delhi-110066 and super scribe the envelope with “Online Application TGC-116 and the Roll No…………”. Candidate should appear for the interview with the second copy of the printout along with original certificates. Candidates applying offline should super scribe the envelope with MILITARY FARMS and “Army educational Core” 116th TGC (Army Educational Corps)and sent to Additional Directorate General of Recruiting (Rtg-6), TGC Section, West Block-3, R.K Puram, New Delhi-110066. Candidates applying for Military Farms division should sent the application to Integrated Head Quarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), QMG’s Branch Directorate of Military Farms (MF-1), West Block-III, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066 . The last date for receipt of such print outs is 14th June, 2012. Candidates should submit online application after 14th May 2012.

How to fill CGPA/DGPA

the merit list of tgc-117 has been recently uploaded. here the vacancies are those as given in notification. but i have heard that the no. of vacancies will be increased in the final merit list….also i have seen the previous tgc entries merit list, where the no. of vac. were far more than those notified….can i expect the same in tgc-117 merit list???

sorry but you need to be careful while filling up the form. If they have shortlisted on the basis of percentage then you are in trouble.
Sir, I applied TGC 116. but I was not able to send the documents by post. Now I have got the call letter for SSB. What should I do now, will I be eligible? I read in some forum that it doesnt matter I will be eligible. But I want to make it sure so that I can start preparing for it.

It will confuse your areas postman , just go to your nearest post office and tell the concerned postman if he gets your call letter then he can post it to you on time.

What are the chances that i will be rejected at the ssb centre straight away on this basis if i get ssb call?

You can not generate the application again, if it says duplicate entry after applying again then you have got registered .
But I do not have the print out of the form to send them…

Sir, there is problem of filling the form of TGC 116 whenever I filled option district the page shows that it could not load page…. I am using broadband net connection so i think there is no problem of internet…..I have filled this form before but i filled uncorrect date of birth so i need to change it …what should I do whether should I change it ya it should keep same as before…..
If you have applied once then you can not apply it for again, DOB can be changed later during SSB Interview.
URGENT HELP sir,…..TGC116 form has a problem and cannot be filled.the link expires in half way ..what to do??
Use IE 5,6,7 and use a good net connection , try to fill from somewhere else, it is working fine but sometimes problem occurs.
Do keep all the necessary details with you for faster filling else it will lead to timeout.

If you are passing your engineering before Jan 2013 and able to submit all the docs before it, then you can apply else not because training will start from Jan 2013 .

If you are talking about SSC-39th , then yes you are eligible for TGC-116 but if you attend SSB for TGC-116 then you will not eligible for SSC-40th.

I am the one about whom Mohan Sir was talking about. I am from IT branch and I got recommended in TGC 115. Now my whole fate depends upon merit list. I wanted to know, if I get screened out from merit list can I file a case against Indian Army??
You can not do that, even its not worth doing.
Why i cant do that? I applied trough the right medium. They called me up for SSB. They interviewed me. Everywhere I told them my branch as IT. I took risk on my present job for going to SSB. Then is it my fault that I was not considered in merit list. Was it not their duty that they should see the criteria of every individual and send them back if they are not eligible.
Like that everyone will come and apply, you are well educated and you can actually read the eligibility criteria , its your fault when you apply against the eligibility.

Why are you applying for TA when you can join a regular Army . Fill TGC CDSE . You can not join TA like this.

If your engineering branch is mentioned as a eligible branch in TGC-116 then you can apply.
dear friend ..i’m recommended in tgc 115 from 24 ssb….there are only 6 vacancies in tgc 115 for ece ….what will happens if i don’t find myself in that list ….plz reply me if anyone have any idea about this.
Dont worry pratap recommendation does not depend on the vacancies,they are looking for the right candidate.definitely u will find ur name in the merit list if not wait for the second list to come ur name will be their for sure

Jay hind sir, i am in final year btech in ECE and seeking to apply for tgc 116. actually my final year will start from about august so probability of my completion btech is near june/july and as per advt. above the training will held from jan-2013 and its mentioned to brought certificate within 12 weeks so may be i will not be able to bring before that limit so what do i do now ?? should i apply and ask for extension ?
another question is i had’t passed my 12th std because i completed my diploma after 10th std and then joined btech. in advt. they asked for higher secondary certificate.. so am i able to join this course????

You should have regular 12th for being eligible , you are not eligible in TGC, also TGC116 is for 2012 pass-outs.

Abhinav, are you sure after getting recommend your name will come under CSE which has only 1 seat?? Instead of going with a regular CSE candidate why will they opt IT candidate which is not even meeting the eligibility conditions .

There is very less chances to get a proper reply from them, whatever the dates are mentioned in the call letter , try to go in that dates only. I think you hardly get a new date for TGC.

Prabhat , it will be TGC only but candidates who apply during there Btech/BE are considered as UES, course is same only. Do not get confused .

Its not removed,, in air force ssb it depends on them,, sumtyms dey take lect. nd sumtyms not… Sumtyms dey even dnt take individual obstacles… I hav given airforce ssb 3tyms nd evry tym dere was lect.

Yes its depends on GTO, sometime they may not conduct it or any reason. Like if there was heavy rain and individual obstacles ground is not safer to perform then they might remove it for that particular group.

@Mohan : Sorry bro but you are not eligible for tgc115 because one of my friend from IT branch had also gone for ssb last year .He cleared the screening, but after screening they verified his documents and he was sent back.I am not demotivating you. mohan me too is having the ssb at banglore on 10 may . I m also from IT branch , same problem here, but some of my frnds who went for ssb at allhabad are saying that IT candidates were there at the ssb and some of them got scrn in also. But the main problem is that in TGC 114 2 candidates candidature is cancelled because of branch……… me too is very cnfused. So tell me if u r going or not.

Friends , why we are thinking so much regarding the eligiblity of IT?? If you read the notification then you will not find IT in the list of eligible branch.
Will it happen by mistake or Army is too lazy to write 2 letters. Picture is clear, when it is not mentioned then what is the point in applying, anyhow when you apply surely you will get call letter but only because list is generated by computer .
I suggest IT candidates to contact respective branches if they still think that ‘IT’ is missed out by mistake.

SSB for TGC 115 is still going on.Merit List for TGC 115 will come by end of this month i believe.Then only we will come to know the fate of all those Information technology students who got recommended in TGC 115.

deepak: dont waste your time and money by going to the ssb bro IT was not there in the notification of tgc 115 and tgc 116 both you can give ssb even you can get recommended but you can never go for traning coz there is no vacancy for IT how can they adjust recommended one of IT to other enng fields just wanna say to all IT people pray to god that IT must be there in next tgc ie: tgc 117 otherwise we all are finished:D
Mohan: you are eligible. it doesnt matter wat your back ground is? what matter is your OLQ’s. if theere is only one vacancy for IT and CSE, and you still get your name in merit list, then you wil be join army… they keep on exceed their capacity later on. i attend TGC-115 in banglore, and 6 got recommended. 3 were from IT, CS, MCA. and they joined IMA on 9th this month. so dont worry. @Raj : TGC is a permanent commission but if your name doesn’t come in the merit list then you’ll be given ssc i.e your name will come in ssc list.

TGC is permanent entry scheme and SSC is short service entry scheme. TGC and SSC are two different thing altogether. This advertisement is for SSC not for permanent entry.

You can not apply again, just do the correction on the hard copy and send it. You can make the necessary changes at the time of interview also.
