Intermediate:
- National Defence Academy
- Apply through UPSC NDA Exam
- Technical Entry Scheme (applicable only for PCM students)
- Apply directly to Indian army through TES online application form; shortlisting will be based on your Physics,Chemistry and Maths aggregate percentage of 12th.
Graduate:
- Indian Military Academy Direct Entry (Non-Technical)
- Apply through UPSC CDS Exam and opt for IMA [Indian Military Academy]
- Officers Training Academy (Non-Technical)
- Apply through UPSC CDS Exam and opt for OTA [Officers Training Academy]
- NCC special Entry
- Apply directly to Indian army if you have NCC ‘C’ certificate with minimum ‘B’ grade.
- Judge Advocate General (for law graduates)
- All law graduates can apply directly to Indian army with JAG entry form.
- University Entry Scheme (Pre Final year students of Engineering Degree Course)
- Apply directly to Indian army with UES entry form as and when it comes.
- Technical Graduate Course (BE / B Tech final appearing & degree holders in notified streams of Engineers)
- All eligible male engineering graduates can apply directly to army through TGC entry online application form.
- Short Service Commission Technical
- All eligible male engineering graduates can apply directly to army through SSC-tech online application form.
Post Graduates:
- Technical Graduate Course Education (Army Education Corps)
- All eligible aspirants can apply for AEC through AEC online application form with comes along TGC entry.
Join Indian Army: Female Different Job Entries
Graduate:
- NCC special Entry
- Apply directly to Indian army if you have NCC ‘C’ certificate with minimum ‘B’ grade.

- All eligible female engineering graduates can apply directly to army through SSC-tech online application form.

These are the various entries to join Indian army as an officer. There are two different commissions in Indian army which are permanent and short service commission. Females can only go for short service commission whereas males can apply for both permanent and short service commission.
