16 Best Tips For TAT Thematic Apperception Test

0

TAT is the Thematic Apperception Test, a part of the battery of psychological tests conducted in the SSB Interview. It is a test of imagination where 11+1 pictures are displayed on the screen. The pictures are 11+1 because there are 11 pictures and one blank slide.

The candidates have to write a Story based on the picture in a span of 3-4 minutes (In some SSB 3 minutes and in some 4 minutes). Each slide appears for a period of 30 seconds and after that 3 or 4 minutes are given for the story writing.

TAT ebook part 1 ssbcrack 324x324 1

Given below are a few tips which you may find helpful while tackling TAT:

  1. It is a test of your imagination and you have to imagine and write a story. Remember it is a story writing and not describing the picture.
  2. Your story should clearly have a hero. Now, this Hero is very important. This is so because this Hero represents you.
  3. The thing a person writes or says or in other words, the kind of reaction a person gives depicts his/her personality a great deal. Hence the type of story you make depicts your personality to a certain extent.
  4. Thus the Hero represents you. So make the Hero a positive character.
  5. Your story must be a positive story.
  6. The story should have a past, a present, and a future. The picture shown according to which you frame the story must appear somewhere in the story, most likely in the present part of the story.
  7. Observe the picture very carefully and note down the minutest detail in your mind, they will help you in framing the story nicely.
  8. Never write a pre-conceived story. Also do not try to fit something in the picture forcefully. Write only around what is shown.
  9. Now some pictures may appear totally negative. A gloomy face, a dead body, an accident scene, etc. What to do then? In these cases don’t overlook and avoid what is very evidently visible, instead try to make a positive ending.
  10. Don’t unnecessarily put negativity in your story. A sad face doesn’t imply death all the time, so do not make negative stories. You have to make it positive.
  11. Generally, the structure of the story is that there is a hero. There is some information related to how things led to the present scenario (The picture), then the Hero solves the problem thus giving a positive ending.
  12. Give realistic aims, and practical problems and their solutions. Do not give impractical views or childish imagination.
  13. An ideal story lies between 80-100 words. A shorter story is not better, so practice writing fast. There is ample sample material present on our website.
  14. Choose the age and profession of the main lead of your story very carefully. The age should be exactly what is evident from the picture. And choose the profession according to age.
  15. In the case of many characters in the clip, choose the one closest to your age as your hero. In the case of pictures in which it is very difficult to determine the age, there also choose the age nearest to yours. But do not forcefully give the age of very evident characters near to your age. For eg. If in the picture only one child of 5 years is shown then do not write his age as 21 years in the story.
  16. A good story has a motto, however small it may be, but it should be a practical, mature, and realistic motto.

Difference Between Indian Air Force Old Uniform vs New Combat Uniform

1

Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari gave the first look at what is called a “digitally camouflaged” uniform for the ground staff of the air force. Garud Special Forces of the IAF wear camouflage uniforms like the army.

Indian Air Force New Combat Uniform

The Air Force’s new combat uniform is thought to have taken some ideas from the Army’s new digital camouflaged combat uniform, which came out earlier this year.

FehX1tYWYAIaW5

Most armies around the world have switched to digital camouflage patterns that are hard to spot. Now the designs on the battle fatigues are made up of squares instead of the organic patterns that were used before. The digital pattern works well on all kinds of terrain, making it easier for people to move around in places like deserts, forests, mountains, and cities without being seen.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) made the new combat uniform for the Indian Army. It was shown off on Army Day in January of this year. The IAF’s new uniforms may take some ideas from the design, but they will be made to fit the conditions in which IAF ground staff work.

An IAF officer told newsonair.com, “The new IAF uniform will have different colours and shades that are better for the air force’s work environment.”

indian air force uniform new

In addition to the new pattern, the IAF uniform will be made of a different (lighter and more breathable) fabric and have a different design. This will make the staff more comfortable and help them do their jobs better. The ergonomic fitting is a feature that helps both men and women on ground duty do their jobs as well as they can.

Since the new uniforms can be worn on any terrain and in any season, manufacturers can save money by making a lot of them at once.

Indian Air Force Old Uniform vs New Combat Uniform

The IAF is the world’s fourth largest active Air Force. It was founded on this day in 1932 as a support force for the UK Royal Air Force. After India got its independence, the air force was renamed the Bharatiya Vayu Sena, which means “Indian Air Force.”

The new combat uniform is lighter, stronger, and more versatile. Here’s everything you need to know about its design and how it works.

Difference Between Indian Air Force Old Uniform vs New Combat Uniform

On Saturday, for its 90th birthday, the Indian Air Force showed off its new combat uniform. The IAF gave the following information about the design and functions of the uniform:

  • The new uniform is unique. It has a unique modern design that works well.
  • It is made so that soldiers can blend in better with nature.
  • The fabric is lighter and stronger, which makes it easy to wear for longer periods of time.

Because of how versatile this news uniform is, it can also be worn on different types of land, from the mountainous terrain of Kashmir to the wide coast of peninsula. From the jungles in the northeast to the sand dunes in Rajasthan.

All About New Weapon Systems (WS) Branch of Indian Air Force

1
New Weapon Systems (WS) Branch of Indian Air Force

The Government has given the Indian Air Force (IAF) the go-ahead to start a new branch called the Weapon Systems (WS) branch. This is a big step in the IAF’s history. With the creation of the WS branch, all of the people who work with ground-based and specialised airborne weapon systems would be brought together under one organisation.

Operators of Surface-to-Surface missiles, Surface-to-Air missiles, Remotely Piloted Aircraft, and Weapon System Operators in twin/multi-crew aircraft would all be part of this branch. The branch will make a big difference by making the Indian Air Force better at fighting wars.

What Is The IAF New Weapon Systems (WS) Branch?

To operate all ground-based and specialised airborne weapon systems, the WS branch would require the unification of all weapon system operators under a single organisation. Operators of ground-based & specialist airborne weapon systems to be unified under one umbrella.

Significance Of The New Weapon Systems (WS) Branch

The branch will make a significant contribution by improving the Indian Air Force’s capacity for combat. Surface-to-Surface missile operators, Surface-to-Air missile operators, remotely piloted aircraft operators, and weapon system operators in twin/multi-crew aircraft would all fall under the purview of this branch.

Responsibilities Of Weapon Systems Officer (WSO)

A weapon systems officer (“WSO”, pronounced “wizzo”) is an air flight officer directly involved in all air operations and weapon systems of an aircraft.

As a WSOp (ISR) operator, you’ll manipulate complicated sensor suites and communications equipment to gather tactical and strategic intelligence for warfighters and military commanders. Land (Lnd), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Acoustic (Aco) ISR responsibilities are used across the whole range of RAF ISTAR platforms to safeguard the country from marine threats, control the air, and many other missions. Linguists (Lg) translate and analyse foreign radio broadcasts, defending India and her allies by supplying real-time intelligence to the battlespace.

Weapon Systems Operators (ISR) is in charge of using complex sensor suites and communications equipment to get tactical and strategic intelligence to help the warfighter and military commanders. In the video above, you can learn more about the role.

IAF Chief Speech At IAF Day 2022

On this historic occasion, it is my privilege to announce that the Government has approved the creation of a Weapon System Branch for Officers in the IAF. This is the first time since independence that a new operational branch is being created. This will essentially be for manning of four specialised streams of Surface to Surface missiles, Surface to Air Missiles, Remotely Piloted Aircraft and Weapon System Operators in twin and multi crew aircraft. Creation of this branch would result in savings of over Rs 3400 Crores due to reduced expenditure on flying training.
