Army dog Zoom, under treatment at 54 AFVH (Advance Field Veterinary Hospital ), passed away around 12 noon today.
He was responding well till around 11:45 am when he suddenly started gasping & collapsed.
He had received 2 gunshot injuries in an op in J&K.

Injured in line of duty in operation at Tangpawa Ananatnag, he finally breathed the last on 13 October 2022.

A MiG 29K fighter plane was on a regular mission off the coast of Goa when it experienced a technical fault while it was returning to base. The plane went down in the sea. The pilot successfully extracted himself from the aircraft and was found after a speedy search and rescue operation. It has been stated that the pilot is in a stable condition.
A Board of Inquiry (BoI) has been ordered to investigate the cause of the incident: Indian Navy
The Indian Navy is the only organisation in the world that operates MiG-29K fighter aircraft. These aircraft were purchased from Russia along with the ship Admiral Gorshkov, which was later renamed the INS Vikramaditya.
The MiG-29Ks do not have a particularly stellar track record when it comes to safety. The Indian Air Force is now considering the purchase of 25–26 foreign fighter aircraft in order to support operations from the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, which was just recently commissioned in Kochi by the Prime Minister.
At the naval base known as INS Hansa near Goa, the MiG-29s are now stationed.

With the creation of the WS branch, all of the people who work with ground-based and specialised airborne weapon systems would be brought together under one organisation.
Operators of Surface-to-Surface missiles, Surface-to-Air missiles, Remotely Piloted Aircraft, and Weapon System Operators in twin/multi-crew aircraft would all be part of this branch. The branch will make a big difference by making the Indian Air Force better at fighting wars.
To operate all ground-based and specialised airborne weapon systems, the WS branch would require the unification of all weapon system operators under a single organisation. Operators of ground-based & specialist airborne weapon systems to be unified under one umbrella.
The branch will make a significant contribution by improving the Indian Air Force’s capacity for combat. Surface-to-Surface missile operators, Surface-to-Air missile operators, remotely piloted aircraft operators, and weapon system operators in twin/multi-crew aircraft would all fall under the purview of this branch.
A weapon systems officer (“WSO”, pronounced “wizzo”) is an air flight officer directly involved in all air operations and weapon systems of an aircraft.
As a WSOp (ISR) operator, you’ll manipulate complicated sensor suites and communications equipment to gather tactical and strategic intelligence for warfighters and military commanders. Land (Lnd), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Acoustic (Aco) ISR responsibilities are used across the whole range of RAF ISTAR platforms to safeguard the country from marine threats, control the air, and many other missions. Linguists (Lg) translate and analyse foreign radio broadcasts, defending India and her allies by supplying real-time intelligence to the battlespace.

How to Join Indian Air Force Weapon Systems WS Branch?
Today, an Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashed near the Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh. There were two pilots in the doomed helicopter, but only one of them made it out alive.
Both pilots were taken to the nearest military hospital to get care. One of the pilots died from his injuries, but the other pilot is getting care right now.
“We regret to inform you that one of the pilots, Lt Col Saurabh Yadav, who was seriously hurt, died while being treated.” The second pilot is in the hospital getting medical care. At this point, nobody knows what caused the crash. Details are still being worked out.”
At approximately ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, a normal mission involving an Indian Army aviation Cheetah helicopter operating in the advanced region near Tawang resulted in the helicopter crashing. Both of the pilots were taken to the military hospital that was closest to the scene.
However, despite receiving treatment for his injuries, Lieutenant Colonel Saurabh Yadav, one of the pilots, passed away as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash. The second pilot is now undergoing treatment. According to the Army’s statement, the reason for the crash is now unknown. The specifics are now being worked out.
