Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command, visited the ongoing works site for the Annual Maintenance Works Programme (AMWP) at Bathinda Military Station.
During his visit, he was briefed by the Project Monitoring Group (PMG) on the progress of the construction activities and infrastructure developments underway at the station.

The Army Commander took the opportunity to review the best practices and innovative construction techniques being implemented by the PMG. He praised the efforts of both the PMG and Military Engineering Services (MES) personnel for their exceptional work in ensuring quality construction.
Lt Gen Singh highlighted the importance of extensive testing of construction samples and adhering to proper construction procedures to maintain high standards.

In addition to reviewing the ongoing projects, Lt Gen Singh also inaugurated the Chetak Quality Control & Works Training Centre at HQ CE Bathinda Zone. This unique facility is designed to provide essential training to PMG personnel and those involved in construction works.
It will also serve as a hub for lab testing of samples from ongoing construction projects in the station, further ensuring the quality and integrity of the infrastructure being developed.
Lt Gen Singh commended the establishment of the Chetak Centre, recognizing it as a valuable resource that will enhance the skills and knowledge of personnel involved in military construction works, ultimately contributing to the efficient and high-quality development of military infrastructure.
