In response to the devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar on 28 March 2025, the Government of India has launched ‘Operation Brahma’ to provide timely and critical humanitarian assistance to the affected population. Under this mission, the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), in collaboration with the Indian Army and Indian Navy, has mobilized a large-scale deployment of medical teams and resources to extend lifesaving care and support.

Indian Navy Extends Support with HADR Medical Bricks
The Indian Navy has joined the humanitarian mission by deploying two ships from its Eastern Fleet, carrying five Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Medical Bricks prepared by the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
These HADR Medical Bricks contain essential medical supplies, emergency surgical kits, and life-saving equipment required to provide immediate care in disaster zones. The naval deployment ensures that critical medical aid can be delivered swiftly to affected coastal and inland areas, reinforcing India’s commitment to supporting its neighbors during crises.
