As part of its National Integration Tour, a group of 17 boys and 11 girls from Manipur, under the Assam Rifles formation of Spear Corps, embarked on a four-day visit to Dehradun. The initiative, organized by Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), aims to foster national unity, cultural awareness, and career aspirations among youth from the northeastern region.

During their visit, the students had the unique opportunity to explore the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA), where they interacted with the Commandant and gained firsthand insights into the training imparted to Gentlemen Cadets. This interaction provided them with valuable perspectives on joining the Indian Army, inspiring many to consider a future in the armed forces.

In addition to their military exposure, the participants also visited the Forest Research Institute (FRI), one of India’s premier institutions dedicated to forestry research and education. The visit allowed them to explore historical sites and gain a deeper understanding of India’s rich natural heritage and scientific advancements.

The Assam Rifles National Integration Tour serves as a transformative experience, broadening the students’ horizons while strengthening their sense of belonging to the nation. By offering exposure to India’s diverse cultural and educational institutions, the initiative plays a vital role in empowering young minds and fostering patriotism.

The Assam Rifles, known as the “Sentinels of the Northeast,” continues to bridge regional and national aspirations through such outreach programs, ensuring that youth from remote areas are encouraged to contribute meaningfully to India’s progress and development.
