Pune, February 2025 – Lt Gen PP Rao has assumed the prestigious appointment of Director & Commandant of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune.
A distinguished alumnus of AFMC, Lt Gen Rao is an acclaimed Gastrointestinal and Liver Transplant Surgeon, bringing with him nearly four decades of exemplary service in the clinical, academic, and administrative domains of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
His vast experience and contributions to military medicine and surgical excellence make him a highly regarded leader in the AFMS fraternity. Under his leadership, AFMC is poised to continue its legacy of excellence in medical education, research, and healthcare innovation.
