In a display of exceptional seamanship and physical prowess, the Cheetah Squadron emerged victorious at the Indian Naval Academy’s (INA) Inter Squadron Rowing & Pulling Championship, held on February 15 and 16, 2024, at the Ezhimala Marakkars Watermanship Training Centre (MWTC) in the picturesque Kaavayi backwaters.

The championship saw a fierce competition among six squadrons, each showcasing their skills in the challenging waters. The event was not just a test of rowing techniques but also of endurance and teamwork, essential qualities for future naval leaders.

Vice Admiral C.R. Praveen Nair, Commandant of the Indian Naval Academy, graced the ceremony, felicitating the winners and presenting the coveted trophy to the Cheetah Squadron, who claimed supremacy in this year’s contest. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the participants celebrated their achievements under the guidance of their leaders.
