The Army Training Command (ARTRAC) of the Indian Army proudly announced the successful completion of the Infantry Battalion Support Weapon Officers Course Ser No – 55 by 162 Infantry Officers at The Infantry School in Mhow.
The course, which concluded on February 17, 2025, was designed to enhance the officers’ capabilities in the tactical and technical handling of advanced weapon systems including Mortars and Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs).
The Infantry School, known for its rigorous training programs, has once again demonstrated its commitment to producing future-ready leaders by incorporating technological infusion into the curriculum.
This approach not only equips the officers with the knowledge of modern warfare tactics but also ensures they are adept at utilizing the latest military technology.
The award ceremony, marking the culmination of the course, was graced by Lt. Gen. Gajendra Joshi, the Commandant of The Infantry School. Lt. Gen. Joshi, who has a distinguished career including notable participation in Operation Pawan in Sri Lanka, presented awards to the standout performers, recognizing their excellence in mastering the complexities of weapon systems.
“The training at The Infantry School is pivotal in preparing our officers for the dynamic challenges of modern warfare,” stated Lt. Gen. Joshi during the ceremony. “The integration of technology into our training modules is crucial for maintaining the edge over potential adversaries.”
