Major General PK Airy, Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Joint Operations), Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, delivered an insightful address to the Future Strategic Leaders of the Higher Defence Management Course 20 at the College of Defence Management.
Speaking on the topic “Conduct of Tri-Services Joint Operations,” Maj Gen Airy highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance operational synergy across the Army, Navy, and Air Force. He emphasized the importance of integrating operations in a multi-domain environment to address emerging and future threats effectively.
The session included deliberations on the steps being undertaken for conducting multinational integrated exercises, reflecting India’s commitment to global and regional security collaboration.
Maj Gen Airy also underscored the successful execution of joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations coordinated by HQ IDS, showcasing the efficiency of integrated efforts in crisis management. Additionally, he elaborated on the development of the Joint Logistics Roadmap, which aims to streamline the supply chain and logistics of the three services, ensuring seamless coordination and operational readiness.
