Pune, January 18, 2025 – Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, AVSM, the Army Commander of the Southern Command, recently visited the Trinetra Brigade. During his visit, he was briefed on various operational aspects, the introduction of new generation equipment, and ongoing innovations within the brigade.
The visit, which took place as part of the ongoing efforts towards military transformation and technological infusion, was marked by Lt Gen Seth’s appreciation of the brigade’s contributions to the operational landscape of the Southern Command. He particularly lauded the exemplary performance of all ranks at the brigade, emphasizing their role in enhancing the command’s capabilities.
The Southern Command, known for its rich history dating back to 1895, has been pivotal in several significant military operations, including the integration of princely states into India, the 1961 liberation of Goa, and the Indo-Pakistani Wars of 1965 and 1971.
Under the command of Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, the Southern Command continues to focus on modernizing its forces through technological absorption, aligning with national initiatives like ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in defense.
