Thirty-five officers from the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) including Sri Lanka, Namibia, and the Philippines successfully completed the Marine Engineering Specialisation Course at INS Shivaji on December 30, 2024. The course marked another milestone in fostering excellence in marine engineering and strengthening international cooperation.
Rear Admiral Deepak Kumar Goswami, Assistant Chief of Materiel (Design & Repair), graced the Course Completion Ceremony as the Chief Guest. Addressing the graduating officers, he lauded their dedication and emphasized the critical role of marine engineers in maintaining operational readiness and sustainability in modern naval operations.
A significant highlight of the event was the release of the 46th edition of the Journal of Marine Engineering. Themed “Advancement in Sustainable Marine Engineering Practices,” the journal reflects the evolving focus on environmentally sustainable solutions within the domain of marine engineering, aligning with global efforts toward sustainability.
