The NCC Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2025 began on December 30, 2024, at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantonment with a “Sarva Dharm Pooja” ceremony, symbolizing unity and harmony.
This year’s camp has set a new milestone with the participation of 917 girl cadets, marking the highest number of female participants in its history. A total of 2,361 cadets from all 28 states and 8 Union Territories are attending the month-long camp, showcasing a vibrant “Mini India.”
The diverse representation includes 114 cadets from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, and 178 cadets from the North East Region, reflecting the spirit of inclusivity. Additionally, cadets and officers from 14 Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) are participating as part of the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), fostering international camaraderie.
Addressing the gathering, Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, Director General of the NCC, congratulated the cadets on their selection for this prestigious event.
He emphasized the importance of character, integrity, selfless service, comradeship, and teamwork, urging the cadets to rise above barriers of religion, language, and caste in the spirit of “Nation First.”
The Republic Day Camp aims to instill patriotism, discipline, and leadership qualities among cadets. It provides a platform for rigorous training, cultural exchanges, and social service initiatives, nurturing a sense of unity and national pride.
The camp not only prepares cadets for their ceremonial roles during Republic Day celebrations but also shapes them into responsible and spirited citizens of India.
