Secunderabad, November 2, 2024 – Lt Gen Neeraj Varshney, VSM, Commandant of the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), delivered an inspiring closing address at the conclusion of the 137th Senior Officers EME (SO-137) course. Speaking to a distinguished group of officers, Lt Gen Varshney stressed the paramount importance of integrity and professional competence within the Indian Army, calling them the cornerstones of effective leadership and trust.
In his address, the Commandant highlighted the responsibility of command, describing it as a “sacred duty” that requires dedication, excellence, and a relentless pursuit of hard work and sincerity. He urged the graduating officers to maintain a high standard of discipline and focus on key areas such as financial management, cybersecurity, and military order and discipline – critical elements in modern military leadership.
Colonel Tarunpreet Singh was recognized for his exceptional performance in the course, receiving the prestigious GOC-in-C, ARTRAC Book Prize. His achievement exemplified the course’s emphasis on academic and operational excellence.
