Lithuania to Supply Ukraine with Generators, Ammunition, and Mortar Rounds

Lithuania Enhances Military Support for Ukraine Amid Ongoing Conflict

Lithuania has initiated the delivery of a new military support package to Ukraine, which includes essential supplies such as electricity generators, ammunition, and mortar rounds. According to a statement from the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, the equipment is scheduled to arrive in Kyiv this week.

This latest assistance adds to Lithuania’s ongoing commitment to support Ukraine in its defense efforts against Russian aggression. Earlier this year, the Baltic nation has already provided substantial military aid, including 155 mm ammunition, M113 armored vehicles, anti-drone systems, and drones.

In August, Lithuania had previously unveiled another significant military support package comprising short-range air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and drone jammers. Additionally, Vilnius announced plans to send over 5,000 locally manufactured first-person view (FPV) drones to Kyiv, with an investment totaling 5 million euros (approximately $5.4 million). Earlier this week, Ukrainian forces received the first batch of FPV quadcopter drones from Lithuanian manufacturer RSI Europe.

To date, Lithuania’s military support to Ukraine has surpassed 705 million euros (about $766 million) since the conflict erupted. Looking ahead, Vilnius has set ambitious long-term goals to enhance its assistance, planning to allocate over one billion euros ($1.08 billion) to help Kyiv. In June, the government announced its intention to dedicate at least 0.25 percent of its GDP in support of the war-torn nation.

As the situation in Ukraine continues to evolve, Lithuania remains steadfast in its commitment to providing military aid, solidifying its role as a crucial ally in the region.
