Indian Army’s Kharga Corps Concludes ‘Kharga Shakti’ Exercise Enhancing Combat Readiness

The Kharga Corps of the Indian Army successfully concluded an integrated field firing exercise named ‘Kharga Shakti’ at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges located in Rajasthan. Commencing on November 24, the exercise aimed to evaluate the combat readiness of the Corps and validate the effectiveness of combined arms operations within a controlled, simulated battlefield environment.

Throughout the course of the exercise, troops showcased their operational capabilities through an array of activities that included live firing drills, tactical movements, and coordinated air support missions. The event highlighted the seamless integration of various military assets, showcasing the efficiency of combined operations involving attack helicopters, artillery systems, armored vehicles, mechanized platforms, and infantry weaponry.

Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Kharga Corps, personally reviewed the intricate maneuvers and integrated firing conducted during the exercise. His observations emphasized the importance of coordinated action among different military elements to enhance operational effectiveness. The event also incorporated modern technology, featuring swarm drones, loitering munition systems, quadcopters, and logistic drones, which are pivotal in increasing battlefield efficiency.

During his visit, Lt Gen Pushkar took the opportunity to engage with the troops directly, praising their professionalism and combat skills. He reiterated the commitment of the armed forces to maintain a high state of readiness and strive for operational excellence. His confidence in the Kharga Corps highlighted its preparedness to act as a decisive force on the Western Front if called upon.

The ‘Kharga Shakti’ exercise reflects the Indian Army’s strategic emphasis on modern warfare techniques and its ongoing dedication to achieving the highest standards of combat preparedness, reinforcing its readiness to face evolving challenges in the defense landscape.
