The fifth edition of the bilateral military exercise between India and Vietnam, VINBAX 2024, culminated today with a closing ceremony at Kaushalya Dam, Pinjore. The exercise, held at Ambala, showcased the growing defense cooperation and strategic partnership between the two nations.
The highlight of the closing ceremony was Exercise RAAHAT, a comprehensive demonstration of a multi-agency Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operation. This showcased seamless coordination between the Indian Armed Forces and elements of the Civil Administration, highlighting India’s expertise in disaster management and its commitment to global humanitarian efforts.
Throughout VINBAX 2024, contingents from the Indian Army and Vietnam People’s Army engaged in a series of training modules aimed at enhancing joint military capabilities. The focus areas included counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism drills, disaster response, and sharing best practices in operational planning.
The exercise has significantly bolstered interoperability and mutual understanding between the two armies, underscoring the strong defense ties between India and Vietnam. It also provided a platform to address emerging security challenges collectively, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations toward regional peace and stability.
