Established on September 1, 2005, the Rising Star Corps is the youngest corps of the Indian Army, headquartered at Yol Military Station, near Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh. Created by reorganizing the southern formations of the Nagrota-based XVI Corps, the Corps operates under the Western Command, with a focus on safeguarding India’s borders and maintaining security in its areas of responsibility.
