General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited the Armoured Corps Centre & School (ACC&S) and the Mechanised Infantry Centre & School (MIC&S) in Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. The visit was focused on assessing the training and administrative facilities of these premier institutions, which are pivotal in preparing the next generation of soldiers and leaders.
The COAS reviewed the extensive training programs and noted the initiatives undertaken to incorporate cutting-edge technology and modernize training infrastructure. He lauded the institutes for their proactive measures in aligning their efforts with the vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047”, ensuring the Indian Army remains at the forefront of capability enhancement and operational readiness.
During his interaction, General Dwivedi commended the high training standards of the Agniveers, the new generation of soldiers under the Agnipath scheme. He urged them to maintain their focus and commitment, encouraging them to strive for excellence as they contribute to a stronger and more resilient India.
