Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, oversaw the successful culmination of Exercise Swavlamban Shakti conducted by the Sudarshan Chakra Corps at Babina. The exercise showcased the exceptional capabilities of troops and armored units, with over 100 indigenous technologies being demonstrated in action.
Lt Gen Seth commended the troops for their performance and urged all ranks to actively integrate these homegrown technologies to enhance their effectiveness in modern warfare.
In addition to Ex Swavlamban Shakti, Lt Gen Seth praised the Southern Star Drone Mela held on 21st and 22nd October at Babina. The event highlighted the significant progress in drone technology, with participation from leading manufacturers and startups.
Lt Gen Seth emphasized the importance of collaboration between the defense sector and private industry, recognizing the pivotal role of these partnerships in achieving India’s vision of Atmanirbharta (self-reliance).
He lauded the industry partners for their contributions to India’s transformative journey toward self-reliance in defense, remarking that such events exemplify the synergy between innovation and operational capabilities.
