5 Soldiers Injured in Terror Attack on Army Vehicle in J&K’s Gulmarg

The attack comes hours after a labourer was shot at and injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district.

In a terror attack late Thursday, an Army vehicle was ambushed by terrorists in the Botapather area of North Kashmir’s Gulmarg, injuring at least five soldiers. The attack took place just hours after a labourer, Pritam Singh from Uttar Pradesh, was shot and injured in Ganderbal district.

This incident follows a deadly attack in Ganderbal earlier this week, where six construction workers and a doctor were killed when terrorists targeted a housing camp for workers building a tunnel. Among the deceased were workers from Kashmir, Punjab, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Jammu.

J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attacks, calling them “dastardly” and expressing solidarity with the victims and their families.

The attacks have raised concerns about rising violence in the region, especially following the dismantling of a new terror group, Tehreek Labaik Ya Muslim, in a major anti-terror operation across several districts.

Authorities continue to investigate and intensify security efforts to address the growing terror threat in Jammu and Kashmir.
