In a series of poignant farewell visits, Lt Gen Daljit Singh, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), visited the offices of the Director General Medical Services (Army) and the Director General Dental Services.
At the DGMS (Army) office, Lt Gen Singh was briefed by Lt Gen Sadhna S Nair, the current DGMS (Army). During his visit, he interacted with the staff, commending their relentless dedication and significant contributions to the medical care of Indian Army personnel, their dependents, and veterans.
He emphasized the critical role the medical services play in not just healthcare but in the overall readiness of the armed forces. Lt Gen Singh also highlighted their efforts as integral to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, which aims at developing a comprehensive and advanced healthcare framework within the military.
Later, at the office of the Director General Dental Services (DGDS), Lt Gen Singh was received by Lt Gen Vineet Sharma, DGDS. He praised the team for their dedication to advancing oral healthcare within the armed forces.
Noting the improvements in oral health technology, Lt Gen Singh lauded the advancements that have led to better patient care and satisfaction. He encouraged the dental corps staff to continue their excellent service, which significantly contributes to the welfare and readiness of military personnel.
These visits mark the end of a distinguished service by Lt Gen Daljit Singh as DGAFMS, where he has been instrumental in spearheading numerous initiatives to enhance the healthcare services offered to the armed forces.
