The Indian Air Force (IAF) honored Master Warrant Officer TV George (Retd) on the occasion of his 100th birthday, celebrating this remarkable milestone at his residence in Kaviyoor, Thiruvalla, on June 29, 2024.
The felicitation was attended by his family, including his wife, two daughters, grandchildren, and other relatives, marking a joyous celebration of his century-long journey.
MWO TV George Pandian embarked on his illustrious career with the Royal Indian Air Force (RIAF) in 1945, serving as a Fitter Mechanic Engine (FME). Over the course of 34 years, he dedicated his service to the nation, retiring in February 1979.
His commitment and contributions to the Air Force throughout his service period have left a lasting legacy.
The IAF’s recognition of MWO George’s service and his 100th birthday underscores the value and respect the force holds for its veterans.
The celebration not only honored his personal achievements but also highlighted the deep appreciation and continuous support the IAF extends to its community of service members, both current and retired.

we organised 100th birth centenary of first gallantry award winner from our Shergarh pargana Shaheed RFN Dhonkal Singh, MVC(P) on 01 Dec 2023. He fought gallently against intruders from Pakistan and held back the Indian post and martyred on 30 Apr 1948. Armed forces always look after their veterans and Veer Naris.
