Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), unveiled two major technological advancements at the newly commissioned Nausena Bhawan in New Delhi.
The inauguration of SAMAGRI, a state-of-the-art automated material support center, marks a significant leap forward in the Navy’s logistical capabilities. This facility utilizes cutting-edge information technology to achieve Total Asset Visibility, ensuring better user satisfaction and substantial savings in material consumption.
The SAMAGRI center is designed to streamline processes and promote environmentally responsible practices within the naval establishment. It emphasizes the appropriate disposal of all electronic waste, aligning with the Navy’s commitment to green practices.
Alongside SAMAGRI, Admiral Tripathi also launched SAMARTH, an innovative smart software solution developed in collaboration with an Indian startup.
This initiative, part of the Government of India’s Make in India and Digital India campaigns, serves as a comprehensive application handling all major functions of the Directorate of Administration at the Naval Headquarters.
These initiatives are expected to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to sustainable practices within the Indian Navy, setting a benchmark for future technological integrations in defense administration.
