On June 18, 2024, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the ongoing and future initiatives of the Indian Navy.
The CNS briefed the Prime Minister on various operational, administrative, and infrastructural activities currently underway and reiterated the Navy’s commitment to maintaining combat readiness under any circumstances, emphasizing the motto “Anytime, Anywhere, Anyhow.”
Admiral Tripathi assured the Prime Minister of the Navy’s dedication to safeguarding India’s maritime interests and highlighted the efforts towards ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) in enhancing the Navy’s capabilities.
He also outlined the Navy’s initiatives in nation-building, with a significant focus on training and welfare measures for all personnel.
Further, the CNS underscored the importance of Tri-service Synergy, discussing the steps being taken to enhance integration across various domains. This meeting underscores the Indian Navy’s proactive approach in contributing to national security and its role in strengthening India’s position in maritime affairs.
