In a significant development aimed at deepening bilateral defence ties and fostering strategic cooperation between India-US, Lieutenant General DS Rana, Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), engaged in high-level discussions with Admiral Samuel J Locklear, Head of the Senior US Department of Defense delegation, during their visit to India from 8th to 11th May 2024.
The discussions between Lt Gen DS Rana and Admiral Samuel J Locklear focused on a wide range of issues pertaining to regional security dynamics, challenges, and concerns in the Indo-Pacific region.

Additionally, the delegation benefited from briefings by senior officials from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force, gaining deeper insights into India’s defence capabilities, operational doctrines, and ongoing security challenges.
