The Rashtriya Military School in Chail has a distinguished history that dates back to its original establishment as King George’s Royal Indian Military School in Jullunder (now Jalandhar) in 1925. It was relocated to Chail in 1960 and has since been an integral part of India’s defense education framework. As one of the five Rashtriya Military Schools in India, it offers a comprehensive English medium education from Class VI to XII, following the CBSE curriculum. Admission to the school is competitive, requiring candidates to excel in a common entrance test (CET) for entry into Class VI and IX.
