Passing Out Parade at INS Chilka: Agniveers Ready to Serve

The prestigious ceremony will be graced by Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff, who will serve as the Chief Guest and review the POP post-sunset.

On the upcoming 15th of March 2024, a significant event will unfold at INS Chilka as the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the third batch of Agniveers is set to take place.

This parade symbolizes the successful completion of training for approximately 2600 Agniveers, a proud moment for these young individuals who have undergone rigorous training at Chilka, including women Agniveers.

The prestigious ceremony will be graced by Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff, who will serve as the Chief Guest and review the POP post-sunset.

Alongside him, Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, will also be present, adding to the honor of the occasion.

As the new batch of Agniveers prepares to step into their roles within the Indian Navy, they will be surrounded by their proud family members, who have stood by them throughout their training journey.

Moreover, the ceremony will host esteemed veterans and sports personalities, whose remarkable achievements will serve as inspiration for the Agniveers as they embark on their service to the nation.

The presence of the Chief of Naval Staff will not only add prestige to the event but will also highlight the Navy’s commitment to nurturing and recognizing talent within its ranks.

During the valedictory function, awards and trophies will be presented to various divisions, acknowledging their exceptional performance and dedication. Additionally, the Chief of Naval Staff will unveil the bilingual trainees’ magazine ‘Ankur’, a testament to the cultural and linguistic diversity within the Indian Navy.
