Iranian Naval Ships Visit Mumbai for Training and Diplomatic Engagement

The Islamic Republic of Iran Navy Ships, Bushehr and Tonb, led by Commanders Mahdi Belvardi and Mohammad Hajizadeh respectively, with Captain Hasan Beygi serving as the Mission Commander, concluded a significant four-day visit to Mumbai, from March 15 to 18. The vessels were greeted with a traditional warm welcome upon their arrival, marking a notable moment of international naval camaraderie.

The visiting ships are an integral part of the Iranian Training Flotilla, which is currently facilitating the training of 240 officer cadets. During their stay, the Mission Commander and commanding officers, along with Colonel Hasan Momeni, the Iranian Defence Attaché, engaged in constructive discussions with Rear Admiral CR Praveen Nair, Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet (FOCWF), focusing on areas of mutual interest and avenues for further cooperation between the two nations’ navies.
