In a bid to foster cross-border collaboration and skill exchange, the MILAN of Young Officers initiative unfolded, offering 50 young officers from friendly foreign nations hands-on experience across diverse Indian Navy platforms.

Sailing aboard the majestic INS Tarangini, these officers delved into traditional seamanship, navigating the open sea together, transcending geopolitical boundaries to forge enduring friendships. The Maritime Warfare Centre provided an immersive experience with cutting-edge ship-handling simulators, equipping young officers with the skills needed to navigate complex maritime scenarios effectively.

A highlight of the day was the captivating demonstration of the Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV) at HSL, showcasing the Indian Navy’s prowess in submarine rescue technology.

With the acquisition of two DSRVs in 2018, the Indian Navy solidified its position among elite maritime forces capable of conducting rescue missions at depths of up to 650 meters, underlining its commitment to maritime safety and security.
