How to clear the Clear NDA Exam in the First Attempt? A lot of candidates will appear in this exam, out of which, only 300-400 will be selected. However, this selection rate is not only determined by how well you do in your SSB, but also by how well you wrote your exam.
For entries with written exams, your written marks will be taken into consideration for preparing the merit list. Hence, it is very important that you score well in your written exams. Clearing the written exams is not that hard, especially when you are determined enough. If you follow these tips, you can surely crack the NDA exam in your first attempt itself:
Clear NDA Exam in 1st Attempt
- Plan your syllabus:
Before starting the preparation, make sure you have planned the syllabus accordingly. Study the topics which are easier first and then later cover the tough topics. Also, take out some time in the day to revise what you have studied that day.
- Focus on concepts, no rote learning:
Try to understand the concepts while studying instead of rote learning. Understanding concepts may take some time but it will definitely be there in your memory for a long long time.
- Keep Distractions Away:
Keep yourself away from potential distraction like mobiles, games, extra-curricular activities, etc. Allot time for each and everything. Use the mobile phone only during the breaks and strictly only for a limited time.
- Read and Grasp Thoroughly:
Read the chapter thoroughly and highlight important points and topics of the chapter. Say no to rote learning as it will definitely not help in competitive exam like NDA.
- Smart Work:
Instead of memorising pages and pages full of history dates and maths formulae, try to make acronyms to remember them. Do not waste your time on English if you have studied in an English medium school. Focus more on Maths and GA part.
- Become a teacher:
After you have learnt a topic, try to teach it to your imaginary students sitting in front of you. If you are able to explain the topic to them loudly and clearly, then you have understood the topic really well.
- Do not study when you are stressed out or are sleepy:
It is a total waste of time. When you are sleepy or are tired, you will not be able to focus and concentrate fully on what you are studying, hence affecting your studies and wasting your time. Instead, get some rest.
- Have a shorter study period:
Studying for long hours straight may help you cover a lot of syllabus in one go but it will make you feel tired and frustrated making you feel like not to study anymore. Keep the study periods short with breaks in between.
- Eat Healthily:
You are what you eat. Keep your diet minimal and keep it healthy. Say no to study snacks as they are distractions to your studies. Reward yourself with snacks when you complete a chapter or learn something.
- Stay Physically Fit:
Diet is not the only thing that you must focus on for a healthy body. Get regular exercises daily for at -least about 30-45 minutes that will keep your mind fresh. Go for a run or sport in the evening or morning, during the break time.
- Get Enough Sleep:
Studying overtime is not a daredevil’s play. It is plain stupidity. When you lack sleep, you tend to lose concentration, hence affecting your studies.
Studying for the written exam requires study plan, preparations, exercise and lot of smart and hard work. Anyone can clear the written exam if they are determined enough and follow the above tips.
Remember, to clear NDA Exam consistent effort, dedication, and a systematic approach. Stay disciplined, follow your study plan diligently, and give your best in both the written exam and the interview. Good luck!
