Elite Selection Process: Gurkhas undergo a rigorous selection process, both physically and mentally, to be recruited into the Gurkha regiments. Only a small percentage of applicants are selected, ensuring that only the most capable and dedicated individuals become Gurkha soldiers. This rigorous selection process helps maintain a high standard of excellence within the ranks.

Loyal and Disciplined: Gurkhas have a strong sense of loyalty to their comrades and superiors. They follow a strict code of discipline and honor. Their loyalty and discipline make them reliable and effective soldiers, further adding to their fearsome reputation.

  1. ” when someone says he’s not afraid, then either he is lying or he’s a Gorkha” I think this statement given by Hitler long back might have given the answer to this question . In addition this fearless nature of Gorkhas come from their heart within. Their arm khukuri is enough to make any enemy run away a hundred meters just within a glance. Better not touch them if you see a khukuri in their hands!
” Jay Jay Kali maa kali ….. Ayo ayo gorkhali ” being the popular slogan enough to motivate all Gorkha people to fight for their rights.

  2. Don’t mistake Gorkha people to be from Nepal we are Indian Gorkhas and are here since ever ……it’s just that we are deprived of our identity.
