To apply for UPSC CAPF 2023, follow the below steps:
- Visit the official website of UPSC (https://upsc.gov.in).
- Click on the “Online Application for Various Examinations” link.
- Look for the “Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination 2023” link and click on it.

UPSC CAPF Interview
The Personality Test/Interview will be conducted for a total of 150 marks. Candidates who qualify for the Personality Test/Interview, including those provisionally shortlisted, will be provided with a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in which they will have to indicate their preferred choice of Forces, among other details.

Candidates’ merit list will be prepared based on their performance in both the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.
UPSC CAPF ACs Eligibility Criteria
UPSC CAPF Educational Qualification
One must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a university that is incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament, or declared as deemed university under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification to be eligible for the exam.
UPSC CAPF Age Limit
- A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2023, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1998 and not later than 1st August 2003.
- The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable.
- (i) up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
- (ii) up to a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.
- (iii) up to a maximum of five years for Civilian Central Government Servants in accordance with the existing instructions of the Central Government. Ex-Servicemen will also be eligible for this relaxation.
CAPF AC Application Fees
Except for female, SC, and ST candidates who are exempt from the payment of fees, all other candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/-.
