5 Ways to Become More Confident than 97% of Defence Aspirants

Because you have the ability to make judgments and choices, becoming more confident begins and ends with you. It helps a lot to remind yourself that you can choose to be confident before you actually act confidently.

Being confident as a defence aspirant can be challenging given the myriad factors that influence the success in SSB Interview. If your written exam and SSB interview preparation are good, you might believe that this will enhance your confidence. In actuality, though, what will actually help you succeed in the first place is confidence in who you are and what you are capable of.

Becoming confident is easier said than done, especially when you consider that being a defence aspirant involves continually pushing boundaries and going beyond your comfort zone. When things don’t go as planned or when people tell you “no” or “it can’t be done,” it’s easy to start doubting yourself. Your belief in yourself is what will propel you forward, allow you to accept the opportunity, and demonstrate that everything is possible.

Ways to Become More Confident

1. Master the art of solitude.

Having difficulty being alone yourself is a sign of insecurity.

  • Spend some time by yourself by going for walks.
  • Dine out by yourself.
  • Visit a movie theatre by yourself.

You won’t feel the need to impress other people once you’ve reached the point where you’re content with yourself on your own. This is an example of confidence.

2. Display confident body language.

Between seventy and ninety three percent of all communication is nonverbal. It is pointless to talk confidently if your body language does not reflect that confidence.

  • Give a Firm Handshake
  • Speak Slowly and Clearly
  • Make Eye Contact
  • Stand Up Straight
  • Keep Your Chin Up
  • Don’t Fidget
  • Avoid Your Pockets
  • Slow Your Movements
  • Watch Your Hands

Putting forth the effort to perfect these gestures and movements can help you exude an appearance of confidence. There are times when using the advice to “fake it until you make it” can be beneficial.

3. Be non-reactive.

People who are confident are able to maintain their composure and reason when things don’t go their way. In order to stop becoming reactive.

  • Practice Mindfulness
  • Think And Edit, Then Speak
  • Ask More Questions
  • Learn How To Pause And Seek Clarity
  • Make The Other Person Right
  • Don’t Take Things So Personally

4. Quit attempting to impress

The person who puts the least amount of effort into selling makes the greatest sales. The man who is least interested in women is the one who has the most success in dating them. People are drawn to you more for who you are as a person than for what you have to say. Put an end to trying to persuade other people that you belong among them.

5. Get Your Ass to the Gym

Endorphins and testosterone are both released when weight lifting is performed. These hormones contribute to a sense of relief.

  • Reduce stress
  • Reduce anxiety
  • Reduce depression
