The 12 para special forces of the Indian army mistakenly shot two villagers in Chasa village in Tirap dist last night. The injured have been evacuated to AMC, Dibrugarh. Both the civilians are given proper treatment and they are out of danger. In the viral video, Major James of 12 para sf is seen talking to the locals. He had professionally handled the angry villagers and convinced them to give full support in the evacuation of the injured and their treatment.
“As an officer, I take full responsibility as the incident has happened under my command,” the officer can be heard in the video recorded by locals.
The brave officer took full responsibility for the unfortunate event. We salute the professionalism and honesty of our Indian army.
