In a tragic accident on 7th Jan 2021, the Indian Army lost Captain Ankit Gupta, one young officer from 10 PARA Special Forces. The unfortunate incident happened during a training exercise in Rajasthan. Captain Ankit Gupta was taking part in a specialist operation exercise in which he jumped from a helicopter into the Kaylana lake near Jodhpur city of Rajasthan, he was missing after the jump and later his body was recovered.
Captain Ankit was just 28 years old and recently married in 2020. The life of a PARA SF soldier is always a challenge and they go through life-threatening tasks in their day-to-day activities. The nation will remember Captain Ankit for his supreme sacrifice.
