Dhoni is scheduled to stay with the Army unit till August 15, where he will be undertaking patrol, guard and post duties. That, at least, was the plan till the recent developments in Kashmir. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, an honorary lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army, joined Army troops in the militancy-affected south Kashmir region on July 31 to carry out patrolling, guard duties and similar responsibilities just like other soldiers. The former Indian cricket team captain will be staying with his 106 TA Battalion (Para) till August 15 and undertake duties with the troops, Army officials said.
