In a heartwarming gesture, residents from the Shirgur Village in Belgaum found a unique way to thank the soldiers, from the Maratha regiment of the Indian army. On the occasion of Eid, the residents of Shirgur, invited Indian Army officer Major Rathore, and his men, comprising of soldiers from the decorated Maratha regiment, for Namaz in a local mosque in the village.
The elated infantry soldiers joined the welcoming villagers who hosted them. Both parties bonded over Semiyan Kheer and biryani, which were served to the Indian soldiers as a gesture of gratitude towards the army teams untiring efforts in rescuing the people of Karnataka.
