NDA exam is the first opportunity for all Armed Forces aspirants. The young aspirants, who want to see themselves in the uniform, aims at NDA examination. The opportunity is a golden opportunity for all 12 pass and appearing candidates. Before appearing or planning for the NDA 1 2017 examination, the candidates are advised to go through the below information and get the brief of the NDA notification and eligibility criteria.
Important Dates
Date of notification – 18 January, 2017
Last date of submission – 10 February, 2017
Date of examination – 23 April, 2017
Age
All candidates, who have their date of birth in between the range of 02nd July, 1998 and not later than 1st July, 2001 are eligible for NDA examination.
Educational qualification
The educational qualification is different for Army and other services
- For Army, the candidate must be 12th pass in 10+2 pattern form state Education Board or University.
- For Air Force and Naval academies, the candidate must have above qualification along with Physics and Maths as their subjects.
Note: – Candidates appearing in 10+2 are also eligible for the examination.
Fees
Candidates have to pay an amount of Rs. 100/- for the examination. The fees can either be deposited online using ATM or Online banking or offline by generating Challan and depositing fees in recognized banks.
Steps to Apply For NDA 1 2017
- Go to upsconline.nic.in
- Click on ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC.
- Click on Part 1 of NDA 1 2017 and fill up your basic details and academy preferences carefully.
- After completion of the part one, save your registration id for future use.
- Now go to Part II, submit your fees, select your examination centre and upload photo and signature.
- Accept the declaration by the UPSC and submit the form.
- Take a print out of the form for future use.
Pattern of Examination
The examination will consist of 2 papers.
First will be Maths and the second will be a combination of English and G.K. 2 ½ hours will be given to the candidates for each paper. There is a sectional cut-off and an overall cut-off for the examination. The candidates have to fight both the cut off for clearing the examination.
Tips To Perform Well In Exam
- Go through all questions. Manage time for every question.
- Don’t mark question on which you are not confident. Negative marking can reduce your marks.
- Try to score more in Maths and English section.
