7 Comprehensive Questions Commonly Asked in SSB

All the questions asked in the personal interview in SSB need to be responded in a comprehensive manner. But some of them are obvious and are asked mostly in the SSB. There are several things that matter in interview. Still preparing some of the questions can enhance your impression over IO. These questions are can be beneficial for the candidates because
– Need precise and self-knowledge
– Can be prepared earlier
– Will impress the IO, if replied in good manner
– Based on personal and practical experience
Now, heading to the questions and their respective suggestions that must be included in the replies are given below. The candidates have to go through the skeleton of the responses and frame the reply as per their personality.
1. Tell me something about yourself.
This is the sure question asked to 90% of the candidates. The reply to this question must include basics about you, your academics, hobbies, sports and extracurricular participation and achievements, etc. the response must be comprehensive and include information about you. 2. Tell me something about your family.
Here, you have to brief about your family. Number of members, what they are doing, if working their income, how do you help them in day-today works and what kind of relations are you bonding with them etc.
3. Tell me something about your place of residence.
Here, you have to tell him about the place of your residence by telling him the approximate population, historical mentions or significance (if any), educational institution, sports, political, geographical, economical and basic census details.

4. How do you contribute in day to day works of your house?
Be honest and clear to what you do at home. Because you can be probed for what you have said and deep probing will be done to match your statement with the probed arguments. It is the most casual and basic question and has to be planned as per the knowledge and practical experience.
5. What are the good and bad qualities of yours?
This question needs deep preparation and introspection of the candidate. Along with this, make a list of your good and bad qualities that you actually possess and some examples of each point for justification.
6. Tell me something about your educational qualification.
Your PIQ details are to be followed here. Give a brief description of your academic details, percentage of marks, achievement if any etc which you have mentioned in your PIQ form. Reply in the pattern as written in the PIQ form.
7. What are your hobbies and interests and how do you contribute to them?
This question is most prone to the counter questioning and probing. Your hobby must be productive and you should know the depth of your knowledge. Be honest and clear to your hobbies and interest. The counter questing will be done as per your hobbies and your respective replies.

Conclusion – A candidate cannot prepare entirely for the interview, but some of the obviously faced questions can be prepared with suggested probing questions related to them. These questions are basic and related to the personal life of the candidate, which can be prepared easily. Be confident and keep a constant eye contact with the IO and reply fluently to a good impression.
