Let’s admit it, the main agenda of news channels now days is to get more traffic. And history is a witness that for this purpose, they pick stories that would be read by many, irrespective of what it is and how much it is true. From JNU’s protests to ‘Arnab the Loudspeaker’, it doesn’t even matter which side of the story they are showing to the public. And we the innocent public frame our opinions based on their views.
In a similar incident, the recent killing of the terrorist leader, Burhan Wani sent a wave throughout India making people from both sides of the border believe that the only job for army men is to kill people. Even when you search something like ‘Indian Army in Kashmir’, google will turn out these results for you:
The army men charging at protesters
What they don’t get is that the Army is much more than that, and the media failed to realise this through their one-sided news. Here is the bright side of the Indian army whose job is NOT TO KILL TERRORISTS, but to maintain peace:
Remember when floods hit the Valley? Who was the backbone of support then?
Who rescued the people of Kashmir not targeting their nationality?
Who accommodated them in relief camps and provided them relief material?
Who renovated their homes after the destruction hit their villages?
Who conducts periodic and free medical checkups for the poor in the valley?
And moreover, who gives these little kids a hope to study and make a good future?
And who runs these schools where it is hard even to manage them?
Indian Army for sure is lethal and worst for their enemies,
but they are the best of friends there can be:
Now, no media will exaggerate this like other stories, because it will not fetch them TRPs. Only the ones been there and done that can understand. #RIPIndianMedia
