Missile Regime and India

In the ongoing SSB’s, TGC/SSC aspirants reporting at the center are in high count. As the count is high, the selection panel’s expectations are also high. As you have to go for TGC/SSC entry or other technical entry, there is high chance that you might be asked with questions in interview related to the defense forces. So, here is the article related to Missiles which are having high ration for being asked during the Interview.

Missile technology has been introduced in developing nations on a large scale. India has also enlisted its name in them. With India’s recent success in the tests of Agni-IV, once again India has took its name in the list of military champions. Agni –IV is a nuclear capable two stage missile with strike range of 4,000 Kms, weighting 17 tones. This range makes China, Arab nations, most parts of Southeast nations and a small area of Russia in north in its cover. Its test was conducted from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam wheeler island complex on Odisha coast by tri-services strategic forces command (SFC). This missile has preserved the respect of Agni family consisting of Agni I, II, III with highest range of 3,000 Kms. All these previous versions have been inducted in armed forces and its upcoming versions will create problems to the enemies. But as per the sources, induction of Agni IV will take two years.

Focusing on more things of Agni IV, this missile is equipped with state-of art avionics and 5th generation on board computer and distributed architecture. It has got a special feature of correcting and guiding itself and overcoming in-flight disturbances. Re-entry heat shield helps it to face temperature of 4000 degrees and maintains the working of avionics.

The competition of owning nuclear warhead is also in fashion. As per the records, Russia has 8000 nuclear war heads, out of which 1,600 are deployable and US has 7,300 and about 1900 of them are deployable. Talking about India and its neighbors, India has got 90-110, Pakistan has 100-120 and China has 250 warheads. Agni IV is also a nuclear missile and has added support to Indian forces.Missile Regime and India – Good for SSB Interview

Missile playa an important role in the modern warfare. Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) have changed the face of war and India’s Agni V will be an ICBM and a game changer. Pakistan has made Shaheen and Ghauri missile series in response to Indian missile series, having medium range. With India’s successful test of Agni IV, China has tested its antisatellite missile. The missile was supposed to target satellite which US considers a big threat. With the passage of time, war and battle’s first stage has become to paralyze the systems and technology of opposition. And then, hitting the target ensures simple victory over enemy. That hypersonic missile was tested in secrecy and missile was named as Dong Neng-3. However the defense officials stated that the missile is to just destroy satellite. This was the 8th test flight of anti-satellite test done by China and some of the previous tests were considered as defense tests by Chinese officials. US finds it a threat as this can be used by China as a mean to hit the communication bond military during conflicts. Recent fluctuations between China and US over disputed islands have displayed the mismatching of ideas and thoughts among these powers. Further, wide range of drones and short and long range missile have made it necessary for all powers to gear up their technology in this field. India is also expanding its missile and drone fields. As per the sources, India is aiming to get new drones like predator, for Indian armed forces from other nations. India’s armament is going in a right direction with the support from ministry and nation.
