While a country mainly uses its army if talks fail for resolving such issues, a larger army generally means a greater threat to the enemy.
A research done by Business Insider based on the Global Firepower Index among 106 nations and over 50 factors, ranks countries depending on the quantity of ordnance posed by them. Quality of equipment, training and professionalism of it’s soldiers, however, hasn’t been taken into account.
The factors include military budget, available manpower, and the amount of equipment each country has in its respective arsenal, as well as access to natural resources.
