Inspiring Story of Navin Gulia Will Give You Goosebumps

“Brave never Dies, they only make History”. Yes, you heard it right! A person can sacrifice his/her life for the nation, but even after that they are always called as martyrs and remain live in numerous motivational and inspirational statements.

A look on Navin’s Timeline:

Navin Gulia hails from a family of Army officers. So, since childhood, he was keen to join Indian Army as a “Commando”. After completing his schooling, he underwent got selected in NDA and underwent 4 years of tough training in NDA and IMA. On the final day of his Officer Training competition, in April 1995, he leads his company “Sangro”. With an impressive start, he crossed an 8feet ditch, the zig-zag balance and ran-up the steps of a high ramp. But, as he reached the top, he accidentally falls behind. Because of that, his spinal cord gets injured causing paralysis to his whole body. Doctor declared him 100% disabled.

But, as we all know that an Officer always remain an Officer, Navin didn’t quit. After coming out of the hospital after 2 years, he prepared himself mentally and start taking more challenges in his life. He, sitting on his wheel chair, completed his PG in Computer Management and start teaching Computer science. At present is running his own coaching center in Gurgaon.Navin Gulia

Achievements of Navin Gulia:

Even after being a 100% disabled, Navin Gulia is well known as a multiple award-winning, internationally acclaimed, Author, Adventurer, Thinker, Orator and Social Worker. He added his name in Limca World Record by driving non-stop from Delhi to Marsimikla. He is first and only disabled person to reach 18,632 feet height, the highest motorable pass in the world in 55 hours. Not only this, being adventurous by heart, Navin has practiced flying Microlite aircraft. Apart from this, he has written two books motivated from his own life experiences (Book1: In Quest of the Last Victory, Book2: Veer Usko Janiye). He also runs an NGO named ADAA ‘Apni Duniya Apna Ashiana‘ dedicate to work for street children, village children and differently able children. He has been awarded as National Role Model by Prime Minister in 2006.

What can we Learn from Him:

According to a survey made in 2011, 2.68 crore people were counted as disabled in India. But, within that crowd a man can only come out as a leader, and that’s what Navin Gulia has shown. Even after leaving the Indian Army, the leadership quality is still present in him. His Leadership, Determination. Hard work, Positive Attitude towards life has made him a real hero for all.
